As a kid, my dream job was to be New York’s lottery queen, Yolanda Vega. Not a veterinarian, astronaut, or any other typical kid dream job. The Pick 4 lady was my holy grail.
Unfortunately, my future in number shouting didn’t exactly work out, so I ended up bartending in NYC, which was undoubtedly the most character-building time of my life. I truly believe working in hospitality should be a requirement before becoming an acceptable member of society.
Now, instead of making cocktails, I make copy. (Cocktails, occasionally). I write like I speak, so conversational copy is my favorite, but I enjoy the challenge of transforming my writing when taking on brand personalities. Like any creative, I love, love, LOVE concepting and coming with up ideas that are silly, stupid, heartwarming or insanely simple. My ultimate goal? To create something that can do some good in the world.
